The covid-19 Pandemic has had far- reaching consequences beyond the spread of the diseases itself

and efforts to quarantine it. As the SARS-COV-2 virus has spread around the globe, concerns have

shifted from supply- side manufacturing issue to decrease business in the services sector. The

pandemic caused the largest global recession in history, with more than a third of the global

population at the time being placed on lockdown. In turn, it caused the largest and worst civil unrest

in the United States history since King assassination riots in 1986, which worsening economic impact

caused by pandemic since it contains extensive  property damage.

Supply shortage are expected to affect a number of sectors due to panic buying, increased usage of

good to fight the pandemic, and disruption to factories and logistics in mainland China. There have

been instances of price gouging. There have been widespread reports of shortage of Pharmaceuticals,

with many areas seeing panic buying and consequent shortages of food and other essential grocery

item. The technology industry, in particular, has been warning about delays to shipments of electronic goods.

Global stock markets fell on 24 February 2020 due to a significant rise in the number of COVID -19

cases outside mainland China. By 28  February 2020, stock markets worldwide saw their largest

single- week declines since the 2008 financial crisis. Global stock markets crashed in March 2020,

with fall of several percent in the world's major indices. As  the pandemic spread, global conferences

and events across technology, fashion, and sports are being cancelled or postponed. While the

monetary impact on the travel and trade industry is yet to be estimated, it is likely to be in the billions and increasing.

A lockdown is a requirement for people in 2020

No comments :

A lockdown is a requirement for people to stay where they are,

usually due to specific risk to themselves or to others if they can move freely, They term ''stay-at-home'' or ''shelter-in-place'' is often used  for lockdowns that affect an area rather than specific location

File photo
The term it used for a prison protocol that usually prevents people, information or objects from leaving an area. The protocol  usually only be initiated by someone in a position of authority.

A lockdown can also be use to protect people inside a facility or, a

computing system, from a threat or other external event. in

buildings doors leading outside are usually locked so that no

person may enter or exit. A  full lockdown usually means that

people must stay where they are and may not enter or exit. A

building or rooms within it, needing to go to the nearest place

designated safe if not already in such a place. A drill

lockdown may be held in the absence of a threat, to

familiarize people with what they must do. A preventive

lockdown is a preemptive action plan implanted to address an

unusual scenario or a weakness in system to preempt any danger

to ensure the safety and security of people, organization and

system. The focus for preventive action is to avoid danger and

risks arising from the nonconformance's to the normal

circumstances, but also commonly includes improvements in

efficiency. Preventive lockdown are preemptive lockdown to

mitigate risk. Most organization's plan for emergency lockdown

but fail to plan for other situations which might quickly degrade

to dangerous level. These protocols must be based on the type of

threat, and should be kept simple and short for quick learning and

implementation, and flexible enough to handle several scenarios.

This allow administrators more option to choose from which are

easier to use in various scenarios. this allow administrators more option to choose from which are easier to use in various

scenarios. In case of a loud scene by a parent or an unarmed petty

thief being chased by the police through school playground, this

flexible procedure allow school administrators the flexibility to

implement a more limited lockdown by teaching in school

continues, this eliminating need for complete emergency

lockdown, disruption and delays in resumption of teaching, the

consequences of not having procedures to implement such

lockdown is that the situation might quickly escalate where there

could be loss of human lives
