Babar Azam equaled Virat Kohli's record in T20 cricket
National cricket team captain and opener Babar Azam equaled the record of fastest 3000 runs in T20 Internationals.
Babar Azam equaled former India captain Virat Kohli's record in the sixth T20 match of the series against England in Lahore.
Babar Azam, like Virat Kohli, scored the fastest 3000 runs in the 81st T20 match of his career, he took this honor as soon as he scored 52 runs.
Babar Azam is the fifth batsman to score 3000 runs in T20 Internationals, before him Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill and Paul Sterling have also scored 3000 T20 runs.
The national captain is the only batsman of Pakistan, who has scored 3000 runs in T20 cricket, in 6 years and 24 days while Virat Kohli has crossed this milestone in 10 years and 275 days.
Martin Guptill has 12 years, Rohit. Sharma reached the milestone 14 years and Paul Sterling 13 years after his debut.
